Our Procedures

  • Arrival.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to class. If the prior class is still in session when you arrive, please wait in the outer waiting room for the teacher to open the studio for your class’ check-in.

To allow for a smoother check-in process, and proper social distancing when needed, please register your account through Mindbody, sign waivers, and upload your proof of vaccination prior to your first visit.  You may also pre-register for classes through your Mindbody account.

  • Late Arrival.

We are sorry, due to Covid-19 precautions and our desire to allow our teachers to focus on their students, late arrivals will not be admitted.

  • Personal Belongings.

Please leave shoes in the inner lobby and proceed to the coat room to store your other belongings. We ask that cell phones be silenced and left with your belongings.

  • Connecting With Others.

Please be mindful of conversing with others before and after class within the studio. While it is always our intention to foster community, we are aware that sometimes, the experience on our mat is the only part of our day with an opportunity for stillness and quiet. We encourage those of you want to catch up with fellow students and chat before and after class to hang out in the outer lobby area because, let’s face it, connecting with each other is what we all need now more than ever.

  • Props.

Props, including mats, blocks, straps, blankets, and bolsters, will be accessible for use or students may bring their own props if they prefer.

  • Hands On Assists.

Assist consent cards allow practitioners to indicate their desire for physical adjustments or to not be touched. We encourage students to communicate any specific needs directly with teachers prior to class so they may better meet them.

  • What To Bring To Class.

Please bring a water bottle, mat, towel, and/or props as desired. We do have a water filtration system in our kitchenette available for use. We ask that students leave shoes in the lobby and place personal belongings (including cell phones) in the coat room. Forget something, coming to class last minute, or in from out of town, not to worry – use of mats and blocks are complimentary at Bloomington Yoga Collective.

  • What To Wear To Class.

Comfortable, breathable clothing suitable for movement is all that is required. Please leave shoes in the lobby before entering the yoga practice space – this helps us keep our space clean.

  • Inclement Weather.

In the event of winter weather, we will update Mindbody, the app, and our Instagram account of any class cancellations as soon as possible. In the event of a tornado warning, teachers will pause class and ask students to retreat to the outer lobby, hall, or lower level of the building as needed.

  • Age Requirements.

Anyone 17 years or older can register themselves to practice in our space.

14-16 years are required to have a parent or legal guardian as an additional signatory when registering.

12-13 years – are required to have a parent or legal guardian as an additional signatory when registering and are subject to approval of ownership and teacher. Please email info@BloomingtonYogaCo.com to request approval.

Bloomington Yoga Collective reserves the right to ask anyone disrupting class to leave.

  • Pregnancy and Injuries.

If you are recovering from injury, surgery, or are currently pregnant, we ask that you speak with your physician and be cleared for physical yoga practice. We recommend you ask your healthcare provider what movements or activity you should avoid during the healing process or pregnancy. If you have questions regarding which classes may be appropriate for your specific needs, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at info@BloomingtonYogaCo.com
